Well hello my long lost blog! It has been quite awhile since my last
post! I survived the Christmas rush once
again without losing my mind…Oh wait…My mind…I lost that a long time ago! :0) Having two children, managing a local and
online shop and taking online classes is enough to cause anyone to lose their
mind!
I am so glad that we are back into our routine from the
Holidays! Routine is good! As you can see I have been very busy. That is why I have been
distant from my blog. I did want to post something to let you all know what I have been up to and that I am still in existence!
In a previous blog post I have told you about my change
of direction with my art. With that change comes the need to learn more information. Advance or Die, right?! I love the adventure of learning new stuff. Especially if it involves a gadget! I am a gadget nut! I know that gaining
more knowledge about the graphic software that I use is necessary. I have worked in Photoshop for over three
years editing and manipulating the art that goes on products that I sell. I am
very proficient with that program. I have the Adobe Creative Suite, and I am now taking the time to really explore it. Since I have it, I need to utilize it to its
full potential. I just recently
finished learning the Illustrator program for vector based art. I absolutely love it. Very different from a traditional drawing style, however I can see it being a very useful tool. I cannot wait to develop a style with it! I
still have so much to learn, since my art has been mostly done in traditional mediums.
I can see where I will be using both programs interchangeably to accomplish
what I am looking for.
